On All Saints Day 2025, Bishop Kevin Sweeney formally introduced the new catechetical handbook for the Diocese of Paterson. The handbook contains policies, guidelines, and catechetical goals for parish religious formation programs that were developed through extensive consultation with national leaders and diocesan peers.

The new handbook is considered to be a working draft. For one year from its release, the Office of Catechesis will collect feedback from clergy, catechetical leaders, and catechists. We ask you to take your time reviewing the draft and to submit your feedback to the Office.
